Description: This is what I believe is a Daguerreotype. This is a 3 inch by 3 inch picture on glass with a gorgous copper frame that wraps around the picture. It is a lovely picture of a seated man. He is caucasian, looks to be in his 20's-30's, wearing a 3 piece suit and bow tie, with his hand up on his heart. In the case is written his name in pencil. I would not surprised if this was a picture taken before going to the Civil War, as a reminder for a loved one.
